AN ACHIEVER : AISHA SHAH & SAMEERA FAZILI

Aisha Shah and Sameera Fazili, both ladies hailing from Kashmir have been appointed at influential and senior positions in the White House office in Digital Strategy and National Economic Council. Aisha shah will be presiding over the office of partnerships Manager at White House office of Digital Strategy whereas Sameera has been appointed as Deputy Director of National Economic Council. Sameera, an alumnus of Harvard College currently lives in Georgia along with her husband and three children. she graduated from Yale Law School and thereafter gave her service as clinical lecturer of Law in the same institution. Sameera’s parents wanted her to become a physician but she pursued economics. She has also served as Director of engagement for community and Economic development in Atlanta. Her parents had left Kashmir in 1970s but Sameera has strong affinity to Kashmir. She is a frequent visitor to the valley. Sameera is very outgoing and has diverse interests such as swimming, skiing, tennis and travelling. Aisha shah was born in Kashmir and raised in Louisiana. She did her graduation from Davidson college in North Carolina. To get this portfolio Aisha has plethora of experience in this field. She has been Strategic Communications specialist at an integral marketing firm specialising in Spitfire Strategies. She has also been assistant manager on corporate fund earlier in John Kennedy centre. As they say, sky is the limit. This has been truly symbolised by these ladies from Kashmir. With their sheer determination and passion for their work they have been able to overcome all the hostilities and become part of one of the most influential institutes – the world hosts today. Their motivation is not limited to young Kashmiri girls only, rather cutting across the boundaries of continents and giving hopes to every girl who are full of passion and determination. They have also brought laurels to the country by being named in these important bodies of White House. Their achievements stands as an icon of inspiration for other Kashmiri youth to follow.
