MUJTABA YOUSUF
Mr Mujtaba Yousuf, a 19 year old fast bowler from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has left with Kolkata Knight Riders as a net bowler for the upcoming Indian Premier League. The youngster last year attended a trial for Kolkata Knight Riders for injured Shivam Mavi’s replacement. Having impressed franchise with his seam bowling, Yousuf although was not picked up in the team but the management took note of him.
As they say no dream is achieved without struggle and in Mujtaba’s case, his family has bared it all to help him live his dream. His father is a labourer and mother a housewife. Nobody in his family had idea of professional cricket but when he communicated the same to his parents they left no stone unturned to help him. His dream is to pick up Virat Kohli’s wicket someday. Such individuals are bringing laurels to the valley by shining in different spheres of life and this clearly reveals the change in mindset of the youth for a bright future. Mr Mujtaba’s achievements will continue to motivate youth of the valley to earn laurels for state and nation as well.
