Handwara is so much more than what first appears in terms of tourism and the same is applicable for the cuisine it offers! Nearly every street in this town has a restaurant or hawker selling snacks which is perhaps why foodies adore it so much. Bonfire. Bonfire cafe has become a favourite hotspot for youngsters within the town. Located near Fire Station, Handwara, the place is a popular fast food outlet for college students of Degree College, Handwara. The restaurant started by Mr. Sameer Bandey have travelled a long time since its inception in Apr 2019. The daily influx is about 200-250 customers. The restaurant remains open from 10 am to 09:30 pm on all days. Mobile orders are taken, however home delivery is not yet available.
Parsas’.The popular restaurant chain Parsa’s has recently opened its franchise restaurant near SP office, Handwara in Jun 2022.The restaurant owned by Mr Arsalan Majid Wani aimed at providing quality dining facility with amazing food. The brain child of Mr Javid Parsa, the franchise is known for its 26 outlets across the valley and in major cities throughout India. The restaurant is open on all days between 10 am to 09 pm except on closed holidays, however the doorstep delivery is still not available.
Chunk City – The Restaurant.Chunk City has become a popular fast food restaurant chain with multiple outlets across the State. Chunk City, Handwara is owned by Mr Arshid Ayub who is a young entrepreneur and started his journey in the hospitality industry in Jan 2018. The restaurant is located near New Bus Stand, Handwara and is a popular get- together spot for youngsters from nearby areas. The restaurant is open on all days from 10 am to 09 pm. Famous sell off is Pizza and Fries.
The Haveli. The newest restaurant in the town, ‘The Haveli’ has been slowly becoming the talk of the town. The owner, Mr Samer is an entrepreneur who has been already gained success in business of clothing and apparels. Located near SBI Main Branch, Handwara Chowk, the restaurant started with a grand opening in Jun 2022. The owner is planning to start a ‘Roof Top’ aspect of restaurant in coming months. The restaurant has an exhaustive menu, which can be a paradise for all the foodies. The restaurant is open on all days from 10 am to 09 pm. The menu can be accessed on thehaveli.co.in.
Big Boss Restaurant. This restaurant is located near TRC, Handwara and is a popular hotspot for Kashmiri Cuisine and fast food. The proximity of the restaurant to Bye Pass road makes it a curated easy go location for any traveller. The restaurant doesn’t take Home delivery orders but takeaways are available.
