SHRINE OF SHAH SADDIQ QALANDER
This Shrine is located atWatlar, Ganderbal on the bankof a canal. Baba Shah Saddiq Qalander was from Andrabi dynasty and a great spiritual personality and Hafiz. He was a poet in the Persian language and contemporary of Roop Bawani. He left Srinagar and spent his last days of life in solitude in Larpargana and finally passed away in the month of Ziqadah, 1093 Hijri(1683). For the benefits of locals, BabaShah Saddiq Qalander carved out a holy water spring, which as per the locals, has immense medicinal values. The Shrine attracts devotees every year on 29th Ziqadah, the day of the Saint. Some personal items of Shah Qalander are put to display on the occasion.
