Ummer Khan-Star of Baramulla

A dream doesn’t become reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination, and hard work. An artist is the one who can change the way his/her audience thinks and works, this is true to its essence and have impact on almost every one who is at some point of time co-relates his/her life or thought process with the artist performing in movies, short films, TV serials, Web series or theaters even models and advertisement artist do leave a message to the society and thus fulfilling their duties towards the nation.

Ummer Khan is one such star, born in Baramulla in the union territory of J&K in 1994; he is an actor, model, singer and voice over artist. A boy born in rural areas of Baramulla, his father is a lecturer in a govt college and mother a teacher in school; he completed his schooling from Kashmir itself. His career started in his school days as at the age of 12 he gave his first performance, he performed almost in all the cultural activities in his school. After 12th he pursued his career in engineering from GGS College, Chandigarh, along with his engineering he also went on with modeling, acting, and video jockeying. Just after completion of his engineering he worked continuously to excel in his passion which was his dream and strength since he performed first at the school, he did many Punjabi albums while he was undergoing his degree, after which he moved to Delhi where he attempted modeling and participated in Ramp shows he also joined acting course at Balaji academy for a period of six months after which he got an opportunity to appear in the famous daily show on star plus ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki – 2’. He featured in Crime Patrol and played a character in a Tamil movie, he is presently working for the release of his first debut film and web series ‘SOT’.

Ummer completed his graduation in engineering because his parents wanted him to become a government employee even in the beginning of the career they were worried of him choosing this stream as his career, they were convinced once he started appearing on the televisions and people started talking about his achievement in the film industry. Though during his school everyone liked him performing on stages, and singing but choosing this as a option for whole life was itself a big question for a boy from valley who always chased his dreams and further shifted from engineering to acting and modeling. His parents, relatives, friends, teacher were the one who helped him to attempt what he wanted since it was a completely different stream for a boy Kashmir where even movie theaters are not functional. Moral support from society is always something which helps to pursue such career and progress in the same, it the person around him who helped him identify what he is good at and motivated to continue the same. He believes that opting for watching movies as an entertainment will soon be resumed in the valley since it acts as a stress buster for many and given the development in the union territory the day is not far when he can see himself on the big screen in one of the movie theater in Kahsmir.

He is a motivation for many being the first actor/model from his town and the first to achieve a position in film industry. People from valley have already started admiring his performances in the TV shows and many stay in wait for his new releases. Ummer even motivate others through his interviews published in various newspapers, on internet and news channels. The one who develops talent is called a talented human and with time we all need to upgrade our skills and talent to succeed in life.
